We're Hiring: Senior Java Backend Developer Astra ICT is looking for a hands-on Senior Java Backend Developer to design and deliver reliable, maintainable backend services using a modern Java and cloud-native stack. You will have real ownership of implementation, API design, testing and production quality--not simply receive isolated development tickets. What you'll do Develop backend services using Java 21 and Spring Boot. Design contract-first REST APIs with OpenAPI/Swagger. Build and maintain microservices using JPA and SQL databases. Package and deploy applications with Docker and Kubernetes. Work with Azure and/or AWS environments. Contribute to CI/CD and infrastructure automation using Jenkins and Terraform. Create API, integration and performance tests using Karate, Postman and JMeter. Maintain code quality and security standards with Sonar and Snyk. Use AI-assisted and specification-driven development responsibly, with human review and accountability for the final result. Collaborate with developers, technical leads and business stakeholders. What we're looking for Strong professional experience with Java and Spring Boot. Solid knowledge of REST APIs, microservices, JPA and SQL. Practical Docker, Kubernetes and cloud experience. Ability to work independently and deliver production-quality solutions. Excellent communication skills and business-fluent English. Agile mindset and collaborative working style. You do not need identical expertise in every listed tool. Strong backend fundamentals, senior-level delivery experience and the ability to learn quickly matter most.
